Reader’s Submission: The Time Gap Between Desiring & Receiving Your Desire

As human beings, we are designed to look for instant gratification due to our carnal mind or ego. Living in an increasingly fast paced and technologically advancing world, where the value of time is priceless, only conditions our minds further and feeds that ego. So when we start learning about Neville, we try and look for the quickest technique to get our results FAST! I’m guilty of this myself.

What, then, is the time gap between desiring and receiving our desires? Simple, how much do you believe in your God self? As I’ve started to journal my manifestation journey and began analyzing the difference between when I got success instantly and when I got success later on, I found TWO things in common:

  1. I didn’t have any attachment to my desire. They were literally just fleeting thoughts such as ‘How wonderful would it be if I saw so and so’ or ‘Man, I hope it stops raining by the time I leave’.
  2. I trusted or didn’t trust my God or subconscious mind enough.

Both of those points symbolize two things– attachment and trust. From reading Neville’s books or listening to his lectures, we know that “God lives in our own wonderful human imagination“. If we know this to be true and accept that we are the creators of our own reality, then why are we being impatient and letting ourselves be moved around like pawns on a chessboard?

Stop giving in to your mind and the voice of doubt just because it’s comfortable for a moment. This comes at the cost of creating undesirable circumstances. Die completely to the old you, the you who worries about whether something’s going to come to pass, or when something’s going to manifest in the 3D world. Give yourself up to your God completely and rest in the knowing that creation is absolutely finished, so much so that your desire no longer stays as a desire, but a success story. The moment that holds true, the time gap in between the time you conceive your desire and the time it appears in the 3D world decreases to almost extinction.

Thinking of the process as a game has always proven to be helpful for me. When we are playing a game, we always know that there is a level above the one we are currently at which is always present. Despite knowing that, are we always in a rush to get to the next level? Or do we get immersed in the game trying to get past the obstacles ahead of us? As we start getting better at getting past the obstacles, getting to the next level gets easier and easier.

Always remember that YOU are a success story. YOU are the be all end all, and most importantly that YOU ARE GOD.

Be still and know that I AM GOD” (psalms 46:10).

So go out there and create your own wonderful dream!

I completely know what you mean as I am guilty of this: attachment and trust…

But how do we not become attached to something we really care to see happen in our 3D world as soon as possible? How do we help close the time gap? I think I need more clarification…

Thank you! I had actually written on the contact form on the blog a couple of days ago asking for an article with more information on closing the gap…

Well I recently read this Reddit post where the person described having your desire as being on a plane with the destination being your desire. When you’re on a plane are you always wondering whether or not you’ll reach the place where you booked the flight for or some random place? No you sit on the plane and you enjoy the ride, planning out what you’ll do, what things you’ll see, watch a movie, eat your food, sleep etc. That’s the same way you have to look at this too, it’s not the manifestation that’s important that is fixed to happen no matter what, just like the destination is completely fixed. It’s the journey that matters, so you really have to think would you rather go through that journey worrying and make that journey even longer and painful OR just relax and keep yourself entertained and think ‘Oh that was quick!’ When you get there?
Then comes the trust thing, again using the plane example you can look at the pilot as God. Why wouldn’t you trust the pilot? He is qualified, he knows what he’s doing so there’s no reason to question his abilities at all! Which is just like God, He is all powerful, loves you and wants to make your every desire a reality so just trust Him to do his duties, what can you lose?
We’ve all heard the saying ‘time flies when you’re having fun’ so stop prolonging and hurting yourself by watching every move in the outside world and just let go by having fun! Your desire is there anyway!
That’s just how I think about it c: lemme know if that helps!

Regards for helping out, fantastic information. “Those who restrain desire, do so because theirs is weak enough to be restrained.” by William Blake.
