You Have Been Doing It Right All This Time

You have been doing it right all this time.

I have been on this spiritual journey for quite some time and, like many of you, I stumbled upon conscious manifestation, when everything was falling apart in my life. Maybe this is one of the ways our true self/God/Universe always guides us to the path that we are meant to take. Even though it may seem tough or impossible to get through, we do; because we are always on the right path. Creation is finished and there are no mistakes.

If you happen to be at a point where nothing seems right or feel that nothing is working out for you, do not despair or give your hopes up yet. You are doing it right like always and you will reach the light at the end of the tunnel as the light is within you. The light that I am talking about is your consciousness, your true self/God/Universe that loves you unconditionally and is always by your side watching over you, embracing you at every moment, even when circumstances seem unlovely.

With the human experience that we are all currently undergoing, our ego will lead us to self-criticism, victimization, guilt, and blaming others for the pain or suffering we go through. In the manifestation/spiritual community, the ego identity is usually demonized as it is vulnerable and is nothing like our true self. On the contrary, I actually see the ego identity as our best friend, as it guides and leads us to our true selves. The ego identity forms the beliefs and patterns that we go through from our childhood to our present moment and it protects us from anything that is unknown, given its vulnerable nature. When we are on this spiritual journey to finding our true authentic selves, the ego identity can be utilized in identifying and dismantling the belief systems and patterns that we have developed so far.

Our human body is the greatest tool for identifying fears and our awareness is the key to dismantling the pattern; our awareness is our true self. When an unlovely circumstance comes up in our reality, we tend to feel discomfort in a specific part of our body. For instance, it could be our chest, our abdomen, etc. Our body communicates with us by transmitting these feelings to us. In these situations, I sit back, gently put my awareness, and meditate on the part of my body that feels the fear. You do not necessarily have to meditate; observing the discomfort without labeling or judging it is sufficient.

The same practice can be applied when manifesting our desires. Having a desire is a gift in itself from our true selves. When a certain desire seems impossible to manifest or if you feel you are not worthy of it, sit with it by being patient with all the unlovely feelings that come around your desire; observe them without any judgment. By taking this step, you have reached so much closer to manifesting your desire. Unconditional love is what you truly are. See your desires from that view – love them unconditionally and the bridge of incidents will unfold so naturally and effortlessly for you.

Self-love and self-concept are much-spoken topics in our community. If you have had a poor self-concept all this while and had a hard time loving yourself, don’t be worried about it. You will get there. The key here is to be gentle with yourself. Take one day at a time by appreciating your progress, listing the qualities that you like about yourself, and building your way up from there.

Oftentimes, the ego will bring up your insecurities, which can be quite triggering and you might be in a situation where you will not be able to sit with them. For example, if you are at work, at school, etc. We tend to avoid these feelings due to the way they make us feel. Therefore, we end up distracting ourselves, which then magnifies in the background and comes back much stronger. In such situations, I just observe the feelings and emotions that come up without putting any meaning behind them and I acknowledge them, holding space for them until they dissolve. Even a couple of deep breaths in my experience can neutralize the pressing emotions.

“Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. You do not fight against your problem; your problem will only live as long as you are conscious of it. Take your attention away from your problem and the multitude of reasons why you cannot achieve your ideal. Concentrate your attention entirely upon the thing desired”.

Neville Goddard, Your Faith is your Fortune

Our desires are our birthright. We are all on this spiritual journey to return to our true selves and our desire builds the road on this journey for us to walk on. Mistakes or failures encountered on this journey are not really what we label them to be, as they are merely reminders indicating the pathway to dissolve our fears and operate from our true selves. Acknowledge the higher self/the holy spirit within you and see how God will unfold the path to bring you back to Him, letting you know that you have been doing it right all this time.
