Changing Events & The Past

I have received a few messages/comments from people asking me how to revise, or how I use revision in my life. I think of all of Neville’s techniques, revision is the one I love the most. It has become so natural in my life that I don’t even call it a technique anymore.

The only difference is now you are using them consciously, rather than unconsciously. It is your birthright to be able to use these wonderful powers as the God/Goddess that you are. You did it all day today in fact, maybe without even realizing it. I think it’s important to remove the separation.

Removing the separation helps to make these things feel natural. There is no more force or “oh crap I forgot to revise/visualize”. When you understand who you really are, these things come natural to you. You understand that nothing can go wrong unless you assume so, so you naturally visualize wonderful things and have wonderful inner conversations with yourself. Even if you don’t at first, you understand that persistence is the key to becoming aware that you’re already the person like this. It’s your True Self, it’s unavoidable and unescapable.

Persistence isn’t hard work or force, it’s coming back home to your True Self. To that feeling of security and assurance where it is safe to feel your emotions and triggers that arise as a byproduct of a past experience.

Because time is not linear, and everything is happening in the “now” moment, this means there is no such thing as a past or a future. It only seems like this because that is how our human selves can conceive of it. Every past scene has only been another “now” moment. The reason why the past seems so alive and prominent is because it is still in the contents of your consciousness.

There is nothing wrong with remembering a past or anticipating for a wonderful future. If your past is affecting how you see yourself and the world, revision can help you. I would recommend to remember that revision is more about revising the state that you have been unconsciously embodying. It is not about rejecting ourselves or our trauma. Our feelings and emotions attached to a traumatic experience should never be invalidated and revision is not about shaming ourselves or wanting to run away from our selves.

How To Revise Things In The 3D World

Let’s say something occurred to you in the external that you do not necessarily like. Maybe you had an argument, received a nasty text, or received a court summons, or a bill you can’t pay. You don’t need to always be in a meditative state to revise. Look at the unlovely thing in front of you and either remain unmoved, or see something completely preferable. Close your eyes, or with your eyes open, see that thing being different, saying something different (or doing/hearing something different if it’s a person).

If you do this, and persist in it, this unlovely thing will disappear or change. People will act differently, circumstances will change. Seemingly miracles will happen. But I say, this is just how reality works. This is just how it is and there’s no other way.

This is how easy revision is. It does not have to be a long, tedious thing, unless you choose to make it so. Revision definitely is not necessary, but I find it can be helpful and the shifts are wonderful.

You have all the power here. And don’t over complicate or over think any of this. Just do it and you don’t even have to follow my exact steps. You create the rules, and your assumption is what is most important.

Revising Memories

Revising memories can also be tackled in a way where you are bringing the memory up, sitting with the feelings and triggers that arise and integrating them by leaning into them without avoidance. This is easier said than done and you should take this at your own pace. Some memories may feel much more intense than others and it is okay to ease your way into this. Keep in mind that revising a traumatic experience in this way is NOT a requirement. Your past experiences and memories are never an issue, but because they can and do impact our state of being, is why this kind of revision can be helpful.

Revision is also about shifting your state and releasing the person who you are being when you identify with that particular memory or experience.

*Trigger Warning in this next paragraph- discussing sexual abuse

Many years ago, I was sexually assaulted multiple times. This caused me to fear men and dating. And I took on a lot of shame, blame and guilt where I started to assume that something was wrong with me. This is an example of how my traumatic past experience became my identity. It caused me to avoid situations, it closed me off to experiences and it numbed how I viewed certain aspects of myself.

Once I realized how my traumatic experience, with the recurring traumatic memories, were affecting me and how I showed up in the world, I started to let these stories go each day. It was a long journey that did not come without fear and pain. I started to love myself and my body again and I started to release the shame, blame and guilt. My inner self talk shifted and I started to trust that I could feel safe. It is not always easy, but I can confidently say that I have released a lot of that identity.

This is also an example of revision- choosing to show up differently when your ego wants to pull you back in the comfort state due the past experiences. Take this at your own pace and it is completely okay to have moments where you spiral and forget that you are shifting this old identity.

As you can see, revision comes in many different forms. With any teaching, technique or tool, we should never deny or reject ourselves and our experiences. Revision can be a powerful tool for transformation and if you try it and you decide it is not for you- that is more than okay! You can’t get it wrong.

Is seeing something in your mind’s eye the only way that what you want is existing now? In other words, if you don’t see it in your mind’s eye, but you feel it with words, does it not exist then?

      Hi Lauren!

Seeing it in your mind’s eye was just an example I used. Yes, feeling it, expressing it, thinking of the desire etc., are all because it’s real. That’s why we can conceive of the desire, is because it’s real and exists now. Creation is finished. If it weren’t real, we wouldn’t be able to conceive of it. ??

That makes perfect sense. Imagination does not just mean visualization, so I misinterpreted what you said as it being the only way that what you want exists. Thank you for clarifying!

Thank you for asking that question, it’s what I had in mind too! I prefer to just state or affirm what I desire or write it out and for the longest time I kept thinking I needed to visualize it because that’s what Neville kept saying. We truly create our own rules!
So much love and thanks to Jennifer and the other lovely ladies who regularly contribute to this blog, I can’t imagine my life without it!

        Hello Jennifer,
Are you literally changing a past event? For example, I would like to change an event in my past where I never met a certain person.

Is it better just to go the end and stay there? Without revising a past incident, just go to the feeling of the wish fulfilled, which is what I’ve been doing and I feel great! But once in a while I remember a past incident and see flashes of it and I that I don’t like… sp related. I feel I don’t want to bring it back to revise it… like Neville says “reinfecting yourself again”

      Hi Marcelo!

You can 100% just go to the end and stay there, occupying this state. Revision is just an option, something to try, but not a necessity by any means. Like I said in my article, just simply ignoring something in the 3D world, is a form of revision as well. So you are already doing it all of the time. As for your past memory, when it comes up don’t fight with it, just allow it to flow right through you. Be the observer and not the reactor 🙂 <3

    Dear Jennifer:
Thanks for your article. I had a question regarding manifesting at a specific date. I intended to manifest an event at a specific time but wasn’t successful in objectifying it on the intended date. This has affected my faith in being able to manifest within a timeframe and hence my faith in my manifestational abilities. What would you suggest?

      Hi!

      Thank you for reading 🙂

I am copying and pasting a comment that I replied to someone on FB, regarding this topic 🙂 Here it is:

It’s easy to create rules for your reality, we do it all of the time! As a matter of fact, everything you’re doing, you’re doing because you assumed this is the way it should be/work, in other words, you created rules for yourself.

When I first realized that time was an illusion, and that every manifestation is instant, I dropped the notion of time completely. I slowly started to abide by it less in my reality, and for lack of better words, I started to act “God like”. I intended to experience things which would prove to me that time is an illusion and that instant manifestation was possible.

And the results were incredible, which gave me more faith! I intended to be the person who could just snap her fingers and things would manifest very quickly. Not everyone has to want this, some people like the idea of divine timing, and that’s perfectly fine. But for me, I felt a lot of thrill “pushing the boundaries” to see what I was capable of. I wasn’t desperate or needy for this. When I wasn’t seeing those “instant” results immediately, I didn’t spend my time complaining or looking for it. I truly believe this is a waste of energy. Instead, I furthered my exploration of who I really am, saturated my mind with learning more and testing things out.

      I hope this helps 🙂 <3

    Jennifer,

Until reading your article, I found how to implement Revision unclear. As a result, I made it complicated.

I can’t express sufficiently how profound your articles are to me. They are comprehensible, direct and

beautifully uncomplicated. I feel liberated from complications. lol

Deep Gratitude and Joy for the Truth of IAM and for your work!

Dear Jennifer, first of all THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.
My question is, what if I wished I would have learned more in my past, like speaking more languages, playing an instrument, or what if I tell myself I‘ve always read a lot of books or I‘ve always had a huge knowledge on art or music, do you think I would just shift into the version of myself or do you think I would just naturally feel inspired to learn all that stuff now, which I do not want bc Im also busy with other stuff and I know there is no such thing as too old or something but I just really wished I would have had a different past when it comes to knowledge intelligence interest…
Would love to hear your insights on that. xx

Hi Jennifer, love your blog! when it comes to revision I’ve struggled with accepting things from my past. I’ve heard about quantum jumping and shifting timelines and was wondering if it was real or not. Basically, is it possible to shift timelines into the past and live out from there?

Hey dear. I love your blog.
I want to manifest back my SP after multiple break ups. I tried to just drop the old story, but I can’t fully. I have a thought “He doesn’t want to be with you after all this shit”, so I want to revise “all this shit”. So every break up. So this thought will go away. I don’t want to revise one at a time, can I revise all of them at once? And how would I do it? Just affirm that “Our relationship was always perfect”? And affirm this whenever a past scene come up in my mind? And what will happen? He’ll start to act like as if we’ve never broken up? I’m starting to loose hope…

Hi. I want to revise that I was born to a different desired family and all my legal documents and physical looks/DNA/genetics change to match my desired parents. Is this too much? I always visualise it daily and I have my reasons to do this, no shame or guilt at all. This is something I truly need.
