Faith & Persistence / Reader Submissions / Remembering Who You Really Are

You Are Already That Which You Desire to Be

Self-concept is at the very heart of Neville’s teachings. That is why I decided to really focus on it,
especially after Jennifer’s very inspiring last four articles. I wanted to focus on remembering that I am God.

How does it feel to know that I truly am God? How do I view myself? How do I act and think? How do I view my desires? How do I view my family and friends and people? How do I interact with others? How do I feel about my life and view it in general? If all things are possible then what does my ideal “self” and my ideal life look like/feel like?

I basically imagined both my ideal concept of self and my ideal life as a whole! In short, my answers to the above questions were as follows:

“I know I am God having a human experience, and I accept and fully embrace this as the only and ultimate truth no matter what! How exciting, liberating, amazing and empowering! All things are possible to ME, literally! Everything I want comes easily, effortlessly and instantly to me! All of my desires are done and real NOW! I am deserving of all my desires: all of my desires are my birthright! All of my desires are ME! Absolute happiness, love and bliss are my birthright! I am absolutely worthy of the very best! I feel so easy, light, free, carefree, at peace, loved beyond measure, unconditionally and infinitely, passionate, full of life, passionate about life, enthusiastic, happy, fulfilled, completely satisfied, beautiful, whole, complete, absolutely perfect, confident, strong, proud, powerful, safe, secure, relaxed, calm, relieved, blissful, blessed, pure, amazing! All of my relationships are loving, harmonious, fulfilling, healthy and supportive! I love everyone and everything, literally! I am kind, loving, generous, happy! I am a life-giving spirit! I am a real blessing! My life is amazing, fulfilled, easy, fun, infinitely abundant in all areas and absolutely beautiful! I absolutely love my life! My life is filled and overflowing with unconditional love and abundance! I am pure LOVE! Love is all there is! Love is all around! My life is exciting and I wake up everyday looking forward to the amazing day ahead, and I sleep every night so happy and grateful for the amazing day I had! Everything comes so easily and effortlessly to me! Yes, life is THAT amazing!!!”

I also kept bringing my focus back to the fundamental teachings of Neville, namely:

  • I am the only operant power. I am GOD!
  • Imagination is GOD. Imagination is the only reality! I AM the only reality! The shadow world
is only a shadow: it follows ME, invariably and inevitably!
  • All things are possible to me, literally!
  • Creation is finished: all things exist NOW! All of my desires exist right HERE and NOW!
  • Assumptions harden into fact. Persistence is the key to the fulfillment of all desires!
  • The whole world (everyone and everything) is only ME pushed out! I AM all there is! There is
no opposition, no obstacle, no limitation, no lack, no separation! There is only infinite love and abundance!

Your True Self and Manifesting Your Desires

When manifesting our desires we might sometimes fall under the illusion that we have to believe we are God before we can manifest them. This couldn’t be further from the truth: you have been manifesting your entire life and you didn’t believe you were God. Focusing on remembering you are God is more of a lifestyle so you can manifest everything in your life easily. It is not a requirement or pre-condition. Remembering that you are God is actually the ultimate promise and goal of your existence. According to Neville, it is the one thing that is absolutely inevitable. You have to realize one thing and one thing only when manifesting any desire: that there are no requirements whatsoever. There is nothing between you and your desire, neither self-love nor the lack of it, nor you not believing you are God, nor time, nor space, nor “limiting beliefs”.

The only “requirement” is to feel what it would feel like were your desire true NOW and to accept it: it is yours right here and NOW! That is all. So go straight to the end, because that is the beauty, magic and simplicity of Neville’s teachings. Don’t create barriers when there are none, keep it simple. Your desires are the word of God.

Living in the End, Trust and Non-Judgment

What I have noticed is that living in the end can become a stumbling block if you end up judging yourself when you fall out of the state of the wish fulfilled. Whether it is because of contrary thoughts, feelings, doubts, overthinking and overanalyzing, questioning, noticing lack, reacting to the 3D- just thinking you have to be perfect at it. If you do, the key is acceptance and non-judgement towards yourself and your 3D. “You do not send your visible world hunting, as so many people do, by denial. By saying it does not exist you make it all the more real.”

Relax and be totally unmoved. That is what Neville calls an “uncritical observation” in his lecture Fundamentals, where he defines the 3 principles of true metaphysics. When you see something in the world of shadows you don’t like, how do you react and perceive it? Are you falling back into the illusion that there is something “out there” that is separate from you? Or that there is something opposing you or that you must be doing something “wrong”?

Notice that! Remind yourself that even that comes from you without judgement. This is not to make you feel bad, guilty or like a failure: quite the opposite. It is to remind yourself that you are the only operant power, and the world of Caesar has no choice but to follow you: YOU are in charge! You are more powerful than any feeling, state, circumstance and belief combined. There is not a thing that is impossible to you, except for failure.

Failure Is the Only Impossibility to God

Take this as an opportunity to experience the beauty, happiness, relief and peace that your fulfilled desire brings you. It is done in your imagination, the only reality. Learn the power of trust and surrender to your all-knowing Godself, because God’s ways are higher than your human ways, and “his ways are past finding out” (Romans 11:30). Surrender all your fears, doubts, or anything unpleasant to God. Learn to see everything as being in your favor, even if you can’t really understand how or are judging something as contrary to your desire.

Know that the God in you, the God that you truly are at your very core and that your human mind cannot comprehend, is making everything conform to your desires and much much more. Your desires are God’s promise to you: they are inevitable! Manifesting your desires is easy and natural. The key to it is trust: trust and confidence in yourself and God. Embracing our human experience is part of accepting our Godself, so accept it lovingly without judgement. Because “I have said, Ye are Gods; and all of you are children of the most High” (Psalms 82:6). God loves you so much that he literally became you!

“God became man so man can become God”

“I and the Father are One” (John 10:30) but “the Father is Greater than I”.

Attention

See, manifesting is truly a game of effortless attention- yes, a game. Practice making it a habit by keeping it on and redirecting it to your end, and to your True-self, without overthinking things. Live in your imagination all day. Effortlessly choose your preference, your ideal reality and your ideal version of people, in every NOW moment, throughout your day. You are God and you deserve the best of the best! Practice thinking and acting like God throughout the day, reminding yourself that everything and everyone in your world is there because of you. You are the source, the only operant power, the only creator in your world- there is nothing other than you!

By practicing that, you are practicing ease which is God’s way of experiencing whatever he/she desires. You are reminding yourself that it is all your doing, and that imagination comes first and the shadow world follows. That everything is perfect already! Also, change your definitions, concepts and perception of how you view and experience things. Redefine reality as imagination because that is the truth, and the shadow world is just a shadow. Stop calling the shadow world reality because it isn’t. It is just a mere tiny reflection, a mirror of the infinite, great, creative, limitless being that you are.

The world of shadows, and everything in it, are totally and absolutely powerless. Always bring back your focus and attention on what you truly want. Ask yourself Neville’s magic questions, as I like to call them- “What is it that I DO want? How does it feel to have/be it NOW?” It is already done! Even if you don’t believe it at the moment, it just helps in taking your attention away from the unwanted and choosing your preference. I find questions a very powerful way of shifting into any state instantly. It completely removes the attention away from the undesirable and straight into the desired state. Taking your attention away from anything undesirable, with the least amount of effort, should be your goal just like Abdullah taught Neville.

Abdullah and Neville

I always found the way Neville discussed how Abdullah taught him the law to be quite interesting. I suppose people have different interpretations of it. Here is mine- when Neville went to seek some reassurance from Abdullah, the latter gave Neville the ultimate reassurance he needed. How? After all, he slammed the door in his face not once, not twice but three times. Exactly! Abdullah DID NOT acknowledge Neville’s doubts in any way, shape or form and therefore cut it dry completely.

He didn’t give it any attention whatsoever and furthermore didn’t tell Neville, “You are not doing it right, you are not being faithful, you are not living in the end”. He simply ignored it! Which is a thousand times more powerful! And by that token, he taught Neville that there is nothing to discuss because IT IS DONE! Get how brilliant this is? It also taught me that despite Neville’s doubting and questioning, he still had his desire! That is often overlooked. I am not saying that to encourage you to doubt, on the contrary, I am saying that to show you that doubts are powerless! Make this assumption- “doubts, fear, sadness, hopelessness, and any negative feeling or state of lack, are totally and absolutely powerless in my reality because I am God, and I say so!”.

I personally find that focusing on what isn’t living in the end to be rather counterproductive (with all due respect), because it is focusing on what you do NOT want rather on what you DO want. And that is to live in the end easily, effortlessly and naturally. You already know what that feels like, so assume you are always doing it right no matter what. Which brings me to the following topic- teachers.

Go Beyond the Teacher

Although there are some great teachers out there (like the amazing Jennifer), the best teacher you could ever have is yourself. Have faith in yourself and your ability to manifest any and every answer you need, because the answer is already within you. You see, even Neville, who was one of the best teachers of the Law, had his limitations. He talked about everyone being you pushed out but, he talked about people being able to reject your suggestions or assumptions, which I believe is impossible. He manifested marriage with a specific person, yet in one of his lectures he talked about attending weddings where the brides wanted to marry a specific man and ended up marrying another. Therefore suggesting that it was not the specific person they wanted but being happily married.

My interpretation of this is slightly different- I believe their desires simply changed along the way and that is perfectly ok! However, I do believe that one should never condition or question one’s desire. Do not take anything out or add anything in, accept your desire exactly as it is right now. That is why you should learn to go beyond the teacher, because even the best teachers might cause you to doubt, question or judge yourself, depending on the state you are in and the state they are in. Remember that teachers are you pushed out anyway. Stick with Neville’s teachings while keeping your reference point on where it belongs- YOU. Always keep your power where your power belongs, which is on you not some “outside” reference point. And remember that your experience is uniquely yours and unlike anyone else’s.

My Favorite Quotes by Neville

Finally, I would like to end this article with my favorite quote by Neville, and some quotes from the Bible, that help me in remembering that I am God and that my desires are mine.

“With God all things are possible” Mark 10:27

“The Kingdom of God is within you” Luke 17:21

“It is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.” Luke 12:32

“What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
Mark 11:24

“Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do and greater works than
these will he do.” John 14:12

“The minute desire comes upon you, assume it is already a fact! You and you alone have given your desire a time interval and time is relative when it comes to this world. Do not wait for anything to come to pass, accept it now as though it were and see what happens!” – Neville Goddard

“Don’t’ think of the reasons why you can not have your desire; simply think you already have it.”
Neville Goddard

“Prove to yourself that you are God by feeling your desire now as an accomplished fact!” Neville
Goddard.

“Let the dead bury the dead.” Matthew 8:22

“Every conception has its own appointed hour; it ripens, it will flower. If it seemed to you long, then
wait. It is sure; it will not be late relative to its own nature…. Don’t be anxious or concerned as to
results. They will follow just as surely as day follows night.” Habakkuk 2:3

“Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there may ye be also.” John 14: 1-3

“I and my Father are one” John 10:30 but “the Father is greater than I” John 14:28

“I can of my own self do nothing” John 5:30 “but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the
works” John 14:10

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts” Isaiah 55:8-9

This is such a wonderful post. My extensive gratitude and accolades. Can you please mention , how fast my desire would come to me, because it’s really really important for me to have it now. The new project for my brother , because it’s urgently important for him.

    I loved reading this.

I’m also very fond of how Neville manifested his first trip for Barbados. It doesn’t seem like he really believed it, and yet it happened (and just within a month).

I thought you cannot manifest unless you believed it? That not believing it is why people never get what they want?

        Hey Paul!
What I meant with the example Neville gave is that he clearly didn’t have absolute faith and had doubts! Have you ever experienced something you thought was impossible and yet it still happened? I am pretty sure there are example of things in the world you thought: no way, this is impossible! Yet it did manifest. So perfect faith is not a requirement! That is what I meant…

    Dear Lisa:

Thanks. I am guilty of the “I want it now” myself which is partly why I wrote this article. I guess my best way to deal with this is every time you feel you want it now, ask yourself what it feels like for you to already have it, what would your brother say, imagine the look on his face… Keep going back to the feeling of the wish fulfilled… Remind yourself that if you have a desire, it’s already done! Hope this helps!

I was raised a Christian as well. But I always knew that the bible was much more than some story! And when I came across Neville’s teachings, it all made sense!

Your article is AMAZING and captures ALL of the KEY teachings of Neville with the correct interpretations! We are each God pushed out into human form experiencing our own unique state of consciousness. Neville’s formula is the way to transform consciousness and move into higher and higher states of being. The Father (I AM/God) and I (unlimited child of God in human form) are ONE. Since I am literally ONE with my Father, I can do all that my Father can do and more. I simply get still and drop into I AM which is the infinite unconditioned field of all possibilities and then in imagination, I live in the end of my wish fulfilled. This is me (human form) deliberately transforming my consciousness to now include my desire as already fulfilled. Now I the human expression of God, do nothing as the Father within does all of the work. I simply persist in the faith that my desire is done and on its way to me now. My Father loves to surprise and delight me so I don’t care how, when or who is involved in the manifestation of my desire…all I KNOW is that is it is DONE and I am in joy and love for the life that I am living. This article is ONE of the BEST that I have every read…you nailed Neville’s teachings!!! Happy Manifesting!!! xoxo

This was amazing please write even more! I am fairly new to Neville’s teaching and this website and this post really walked me through everything clearly. The way you write is so crystal clear and step-wise, which is helpful for a newbie like me and even someone that just needs a refresher. I will certainly be journaling on those questions you put in this writing as well. Thank you so much!

Love your article! And I do have to agree with you on Jennifer. I have read all of her articles and she does her best to not insert any limitations on to her readers. With Neville and specific person, I believe that throughout the course of his teachings and findings, even he himself shifted perspective on how the law works on specific persons, why? Because it does! Haha we are the creator 🙂 Sometimes we might believe that something doesn’t apply and when we try it, and it works, we shift our beliefs.
Love, lovee your article!! Continue to write more!!!

This was so great to read! Thankyou. And especially for addressing the fact that Neville had doubts about Barbados (I had noticed that this wasnt mentioned anywhere) and how he changed his teachings as you mentioned which often causes confusion in the Neville community when people reference things he said earlier on in his journey.

I mean choose your preference in any situation by remembering that you are God, the world is you pushed out and what you see in front of you is actually your past assumptions/believes/states. Remember that imagination creates reality…

This was not a coincidence I found your post. I been trying to conscious create for 3 years and it’s been the most highs and lows I have ever experienced in my life. I got to the point last night after a full day of raining tears and I mean heartache beyond your imagination, that I give up and I must not have the abilities everyone have. I felt like God excluded me as though I was not meant to have what I truly desire. Woke up this morning said out loud “you will not look at anymore content on this subject nor will you believe in anything” if I don’t desire anything than I can’t be disappointed. Well within minutes I stumbled on your post. LET ME SAY THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU WITH THE BIGGEST VIRTUAL HUG POSSIBLE. Everything you said in this article is exactly how I always felt until I started watching different teachers and content on the law and eventually it wiped out all that I deeply knew and I began to doubt me and my world. No wonder I have been unsuccessful in this game. You validated everything I knew to be true and I know better to second guess myself. When I got to the part look beyond the teacher is when I had my aha moment. I can’t thank you enough because your article didn’t just give me joy, my whole world has been given back to me with such beauty. I can’t express how you have no idea the impact your article has done for me. I was very very done with life and had to accept it as it was. Please realize that you truly save a life today. Forever grateful.
