The most important step that we have to take, is taking complete responsibility for our lives. Only we are responsible for how we think, feel, and act. When we know that our state of being is what reflects as our reality, it’s not that hard to take charge.

Put Off The Blame

Blaming ourselves, friends, family, or whoever, does absolutely nothing except make us feel bad. If we know that we are the creator of our lives, then there is nothing to blame because we know that we are the only one responsible for our lives. This counts for each and every case.

Playing the victim might feel easy at times, and I understand that. We all go through times wherein blaming others or ourselves feels easier than taking responsibility. But with the knowledge that our power lies within, we are not going to be shouting from the side, and hope that our lives will change. We will stand up tall and take control of our lives, and ditch the blame game. I used to have mediocre relationships with some of my family members and it all changed when I put off the blame and took responsibility for it.

With the knowledge that everyone is us pushed out, there is no point in hoping for others to change. If we want to see a change then we have to change ourselves. Many times I use to bump into a brick wall of hoping that others would change, which made me frustrated. Trust me, I’ve been there. But once you know that the brick wall is not going to move out of the way by itself, you might as well try to find a way around it. Through taking responsibility and by acknowledging the fact that we are the creator of our lives.

Let The Past Be The Past

A lot of the times we are holding onto stories that do not serve us at all. “We can’t persist, we can’t do this, we can’t do that”. I can tell you right now that we are a master in persisting. We’ve been persisting in the old stories for maybe years (including this one)! If we can persist at repeating the old ones that do not serve us, we might as well replace them with new ones that actually do serve us.

We can choose to persist in new stories. Our past has no power unless we give it power. It is up to us to tell a different story and to which story we give our attention to. In some cases that might seem as a rough task, whether it’s a story about having no confidence in ourselves, or a story wherein we can’t seem to forgive ourselves for the past. We’ve all been there. But there is this spark in us that lights up everything. That is who we truly are. A God that is worthy of everything, a God that is full of love. And every time we feel that our old story is coming up, we should see and feel this spark within ourselves, which will resolve everything.

Taking Charge

The moment we take responsibility for our lives, is when our lives will shift into miracles. I am not even exaggerating here. The moment we decide to make a change is when change comes. I highlighted the “choose” and “decide”, since taking responsibility is a decision. It’s not just hoping for our luck, it’s a decision within ourselves. We can decide to think differently, to feel differently, to be different.

Only we can decide to make that change. That’s how powerful we are. If we are willing to change, then we will make that decision. We will stop blaming and repeating stories that do not serve us. We will take charge and choose stories that empower us. We will choose to feel how we want to feel and we will choose to be who we want to be. Let’s be the master of our fate and take full responsibility.

Great article… Perfect timing for me because I had been wondering whether it was right to take all the responsibility for everything in my life without being disrespectful to the important people of my life as in my family and community listening to your parents and obeying them is considered most important even if that means that we don’t get what we want. I now have better understanding that actually I only have that power and it is a gift rightfully given to me and I would not be selfish or rude if I take that power back.

          Hi Kanchan.

Thank you for the comment I am really glad you are liking it!

The whole world is just us pushed out (this includes people) so we are the one and only creator of our life so its definitely not “rude” or “selfish”.

Wow. I MADE all of this. The mess that I am feeling right now WAS ME. It was ALL ME. I manifested it all and it’s so extremely empowering and relieving to know that with a change of my thoughts I can change all of it. It’s always been me. It will always be me. I made it, I control it, and I change it.

    Therefore, it is done. 🙂

    What a relief!!!!!!!!
